ONT: Provincial budget unveiled

The government unveiled the provincial budget last week and among the proposed adjustments were a few minor pension and benefit related highlights.

By late summer 2019, dental benefits will be offered to those 65 and older, with an income of $19,300 or less, or $32,300 or less for couples. These individuals will be able to be treated in public health units, community health centres and Aboriginal health access centres.

The budget also includes a proposed target benefit framework which would allow more multi‐employer  pension plans, including those in the non‐unionized not‐for‐profit sector to participate in the framework.
