Pal Benefits becomes Accompass

Michael Worb, founder and chief executive officer of Pal Benefits Inc., an independent benefits, investment, and compensation firm, announced that, as of today, the company will be renamed Accompass.

“Our new brand is the result of a long process of discovery to define what makes our relationships with our clients so special. Every detail in our rebranding mirrors the experience we deliver to clients on a daily basis,” said Worb. “The name ‘Accompass’ represents how we accompany them at every step, what we accomplish together, and how all-encompassing our approach is.”

Staying true to our approach

Today marks the start of Accompass’ 18th year of operation. The firm designs and manages benefits and health, investment and retirement, and compensation and incentive programs for many of Canada’s leading brands. “While our staff and business have grown significantly, our approach remains the same,” said Sarah Beech, president of Accompass. “We treat each of our clients like they are our only client. We have found that organizations choose us because we provide a unique level of attention and expertise.”

The road to our new brand

The rebrand is the result of a one-year process of discovery that included in-depth third party interviews with dozens of clients and partners, as well as with each of the firm’s several dozen employees. Over the course of months, staff collaborated to crystallize the values that have defined the firm since its founding, including “You are our only client” and “Nail every detail.” The final phase of the process saw the engagement of Viva & Co., a highly decorated Toronto design and branding firm.

The comprehensive rebrand extends from the company’s name and visual identity, to a new mobile-ready website filled with client stories, to Accompass’ presentations to clients.

In our clients' own words

Ten clients, including Sleep Country Canada, Canadian Tire Corporation, Chemtrade, and Purdue Pharma Canada, shared their insights into working with the firm in a short film at their new website.

“Since 1997, we’ve worked to deliver a level of service that can’t be found anywhere else,” stated Worb. “Our rebranding is an important step in telling a broader audience who we are and what we stand for. However, our clients are our best spokespeople. We’ve been humbled that so many of them took the time to share their perspective.”
