Alberta releases first new dental fee guide in 20 years

Recent pressure to address the costs of dental care in Alberta has led to the Alberta Dental Association and College publishing a new fee guide, the first in 20 years.

"This has been heavily anticipated given the province's relatively high dental fees," said Accompass Vice President, Judy Buckley.

In August, the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association reported that Alberta's dental fees are 26-32% higher than the rest of Canada.

The fee guide takes effect September 1, 2017.
